Mindfulness-Based Group Treatment
for women with sexual interest/ desire concerns
An 8-Week Virtual Group for Women in Ontario
October 6 - November 24, 2026
Tuesdays @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
A Compassionate space to reconnect with your body
If you’ve been struggling with low sexual desire, you’re not alone. This group offers a supportive, confidential space where women can come together to learn, share, and rebuild their connection to sexual pleasure.
Developed from the groundbreaking work of Dr. Lori Brotto and colleagues and inspired by her book Better Sex Through Mindfulness, this program combines research-based strategies with real-life practice.
-
This group consists of a blend of guided meditation, sex education, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.
-
Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.
-
Led by an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist who knows how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.
-
This group will prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.
-
At the end of each group, you will be provided with a package of homework exercises, links for meditative home practice, and information about female sexual desire.
Your experience:
-
From October to November, join us on Tuesdays for 1 hour and 30 minutes each week for 8 weeks.
Each session will be a blend of education, guided mindfulness, and group discussion. Between sessions, you’ll be invited to explore home practices such as meditation, personal reflection exercises, and CBT-informed activities.
-
Join eight other women online from the comfort of your home. A confidential Zoom link will be provided before each group session.
-
A maximum of 8 participants ensures meaningful discussion and follow-up about your experience with the guided exercises.
-
Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and guided home exercises including meditation and sex-therapy specific tools.
-
As a follow-up to your eight-week group, I will offer you the (optional) opportunity to return within four weeks to review your strengths, struggles, and strategies to maintain all of your hard work.
Your takeaways:
-
Eight weeks of in-group and out-of-group exercises and self-reflection will support you with increasing your sense of awareness with yourself. You may notice an increase between your mind-body connection by the end of the group.
-
You will be provided with cognitive skills to support you with reframing and experimenting with different thoughts and beliefs surrounding your sexual desire and well being.
-
This group will teach you communication skills for sharing what you need, and/or what peaks your curiosity when it comes to your desire.
-
Weaved throughout each group experience, you will be supported to engage with self-compassion and a sense of care toward your body and mind.
-
This group will give you the space and time to explore and reflect what authentic sexuality means to you, with no judgement!
-
Over an 8 week period you will learn that you are not alone, and that many other women experience challenges with their sexual desire, and that there are many factors in why this happens. Angela will help to facilitate both a sense of strength and care in the community that we build.
